Original: Sahrawi Defender Protests over UN Decisions On Gdeim Izik

A Sahrawi human rights defender is publicly protesting United Nations decisions relating to Gdeim Izik, the 2010 protest camp in Western Sahara whose aftermath led to mass trials and long prison sentences for Sahrawi activists. Advocacy groups including Genocide Watch have highlighted the protest, keeping attention on the UN's handling of the cases and broader demands for justice in Western Sahara.
