CHOMPI portable sampler goes fully open-source
Original: CHOMPI portable sampler instrument is now open-source (hardware and software)
The CHOMPI portable sampler instrument has been released as open-source, covering both its hardware and software. The move lets owners and makers study, modify and build on the design themselves. Musicians and hardware hobbyists are welcoming the decision, seeing it as a notable step for a small instrument maker to open up its entire design.
Why now: Open-sourcing both hardware and software of a popular portable sampler is rare and useful to the maker and music community.
