CHOMPI portable sampler goes fully open-source
Original: CHOMPI portable sampler instrument is now open-source (hardware and software)
CHOMPI, a portable sampler instrument, has been released as open-source, covering both its hardware and software. The move means makers and musicians can now access design files and code, modify the device, and build their own versions. The announcement is drawing attention from the maker and music-tech communities.
Why now: Open-sourcing both hardware and software is unusual for a consumer instrument, inviting hobbyists to tinker and build their own devices.
