Neon Counters A24 With Open-Source SCP Foundation Film
Original: Neon SCP Foundation Movie Counters A24's With Open-Source Production
Neon is developing a film based on the SCP Foundation, the collaborative online horror fiction project, and is framing the production as open-source. The move is read as a direct response to A24's competing SCP project, positioning the two studios on opposite sides of how the community-driven universe should be adapted for the screen.
Why now: Two major studios are racing to adapt the popular SCP Foundation internet fiction universe, and Neon's open-source angle sets up a notable rivalry.
