Trump Rally in Alabama Draws Smaller Crowd
Original: In Alabama, Trump Relives His Glory Days (This Time With Some Empty Seats) https://www.nytimes.com/2026/10/02/us/politic
Donald Trump held a rally in Alabama on October 2, 2026, where the New York Times reports he leaned into nostalgia for his earlier political rallies, though attendance appeared thinner this time with some empty seats visible. The event is being read as a test of his continued pull with supporters heading into the 2026 election season.
Why now: Reporters and readers are weighing whether thinner crowd sizes signal declining enthusiasm for Trump ahead of the midterm elections.
