'Operation Mincemeat' musical lands in Chicago to warm review

Original: Review: ‘Operation Mincemeat’ at CIBC Theatre spins a true wartime story into a nutty musical

The musical 'Operation Mincemeat' has opened at Chicago's CIBC Theatre, drawing a positive review from the Chicago Tribune. Critics note that the show takes a genuine Second World War deception operation — the Allies' plan to mislead the Nazis with false documents — and turns it into a playful, quirky comedy musical. The Chicago staging marks a notable stop for the show as it tours beyond its London success.
