Russian forces struck twice near the supports of the Southern Bridge in Kyiv while a metro train was crossing it. Metro and ground transport across the bridge have been halted while specialists inspect the structure for damage. No casualties were reported in the initial reports, and engineers are working to determine whether the bridge remains safe to use.
Why now: A Russian attack on critical Kyiv transport infrastructure endangers civilians and disrupts the city's transit system.
