A developer is recounting how their first program was written by hand in a school notebook: a simple guessing game spelled out step by step in plain pseudocode. They say they later turned that notebook pseudocode into a working program in a real programming language. The story is being shared in programming and open source communities, where people often swap memories of how they first learned to code.
Why now: It is part of a popular 'show dev' trend of programmers sharing nostalgic stories about their earliest code.
