A golf school operating in Tokyo, with locations including Roppongi, Shinjuku, Ginza and Yurakucho, is promoting itself as a beginner-focused academy where roughly 80% of students are women new to the sport. The school, called Sanctuary, advertises swing lessons aimed squarely at first-time players, reflecting the recent boom in women taking up golf in Japan.
Why now: Women's beginner golf is a growing trend in Japan and schools marketing directly to newcomers are drawing attention.
