Pidgin 3.0 Alpha 3 Released as Snapshot Build

Original: Greetings Programs! It's release night for @ pidgin 3.0 Alpha3!! Does that mean you can use it yet, probably not as it's

Developer Gary Kramlich, known as grimmy, has announced the release of Pidgin 3.0 Alpha 3, a milestone build of the long-running open-source messaging client. He cautioned that this is only a snapshot release rather than a version ready for everyday use, and invited people to follow along with a live release-night stream.

Why now: The open-source community is closely watching Pidgin's long-awaited 3.0 rewrite, and each new alpha signals progress.
