Reddit restricts old.reddit.com access for inactive users
Original: Reddit is putting more limits on old.reddit.com
Reddit is tightening access to its legacy interface, old.reddit.com, blocking people who have not used it in the past six months. The company says the move is aimed at limiting use of the old design, which many longtime users prefer to the current interface. The change is drawing criticism from users who see the classic site as a lighter, simpler alternative to Reddit's official apps and newer web experience.
Why now: Reddit is further restricting a long-cherished legacy interface, reigniting user frustration over the platform's design changes.
