Poll Finds Americans Back Populist Policies Across Party Lines
Original: Exclusive | Americans Want Populist Policies That Defy Traditional Political Labels
A new Wall Street Journal exclusive reports that Americans broadly support populist policies that cut across traditional political labels, mixing positions from left and right rather than aligning with standard party platforms. The findings suggest voters are increasingly drawn to economic and cultural stances that neither Democrats nor Republicans fully represent, complicating how analysts read the electorate ahead of upcoming elections.
Why now: The survey challenges conventional left-right framing of American politics at a time of shifting voter allegiances.
