Nepal PM calls deadly floods 'a warning to the world' on climate
Original: Nepal PM says floods ‘a warning to the world’ about climate change | Stuff.co.nz
Nepal's prime minister has described severe flooding in the country as 'a warning to the world' about climate change, linking the disaster to global warming. The remarks come as Nepal deals with the aftermath of devastating floods, drawing international attention to how heavily mountainous nations are affected by climate impacts despite contributing little to global emissions.
Why now: Severe flooding in Nepal has put a spotlight on climate change and its disproportionate impact on vulnerable countries.
