France's public sector launched a nationwide strike on September 29, 2026, with more than 170 demonstrations held across 91 departments, from Paris and Marseille to Lille and Toulouse. Commenters are condemning what they call a media silence around the protests, arguing the scale of the mobilisation is not getting the coverage it deserves.

Why now: The strike's large scale across most French departments, combined with claims of media under-coverage, is driving online debate.
