Reports: Eight US Marines Wounded In Iran-Linked Ship Strike
Original: 'Not 1 But 8 Wounded': US Marines 'Hit' In Iran Ship Strike, Pentagon 'Kept Quiet' | Firstpost Live
Claims are circulating that eight US Marines were wounded in a strike on a ship linked to Iran, and that the Pentagon withheld or downplayed the information. The reported figure contradicts earlier suggestions of fewer casualties, fuelling questions about transparency from US defence officials. Commentators are pressing for confirmation of the number of wounded and the circumstances of the attack.
Why now: Unconfirmed reports of US casualties and an alleged Pentagon cover-up are drawing intense attention amid tensions with Iran.
