UK terror plot suspects granted bail amid Iran questions
Original: Iran sleeper agents or hoax? UK terror plot suspects get bail
Two men suspected of plotting a terror attack in the UK have been released on bail, prompting fierce debate about whether they were acting as Iranian sleeper agents or whether the allegations are a hoax. The case is under active investigation, and officials have not confirmed any state link, leaving commentators to argue over the credibility of the claims.
Why now: The combination of an Iran connection, a terror plot and suspects being released on bail is raising questions about the strength of the case.
