The claim, reported by Quantum Zeitgeist, positions optical computing as a potential alternative to electronic interconnects in data-heavy workloads. It could matter for AI and high-performance computing, where moving data is often the bottleneck.","why":"Interest in optical computing is rising as AI demand strains conventional chip interconnects","tone":"neutral","entities":["Optalysys"],"summarized_at":"2026-10-06T22:37:29.014865Z","meta":{"via":"scan","lang":"en","term":"chips","source":"Quantum Zeitgeist","published":"Tue, 06 Oct 2026 16:29:32 GMT"},"nw":null,"promo":null,"kind":null,"importance":null,"hidden":false,"hide_reason":null,"judged_at":null,"title_en":"Optalysys Claims Photonic Chips Can Move Data, Not Just Connect It","section_name":"Technology","category_name":"Semiconductors","timeline":[{"captured_at":"2026-10-06T22:34:52.218634Z","rank":35,"volume":null}],"posts":[{"platform":"news","url":"https://news.google.com/rss/articles/CBMickFVX3lxTE5IMlptaVFtb0RValRldnJ0WWtKbWJGNkZpczFUVFNjVGNxejBWdU1XRTloUmlGZnZIUURxRzZMYk9JVFBJUFZlazdUOFVHZHpzZWQ5UzlLNkVodzlEY2d2VDJmaUVpX0VyTF80Ym1nNVUyUQ?oc=5","author":"Quantum Zeitgeist","title":"Optalysys Says Photonic Chips Can Move Data, Not Just Connect It","snippet":null,"posted_at":"2026-10-06T16:29:32Z","likes":null}],"elsewhere":[],"window":"7d"}}
