Japanese novelist Yasutaka Tsutsui, 92, has revealed that his eldest son died suddenly at the age of 51. Confined to a nursing home and facing fears of becoming bedridden, Tsutsui described himself at one point as 'a person who is finished as a writer.' Despite the loss, he says he continues writing novels from the care facility, driven by what he calls his motivation to keep creating.
