WorldSkills Competition

South Africa has made history at the WorldSkills Competition 2026 in Shanghai, China, securing a silver medal in Aircraft Maintenance. The country fielded 29 students competing across 27 skills, among roughly 1,400 competitors from around the world. The achievement is being celebrated as a milestone for South African technical and vocational training on the global stage.
