The international BASE research collaboration, which includes GSI/FAIR, achieved a milestone at CERN in March 2026: 92 antiprotons were transported in a mobile trap without any loss, effectively surviving a road trip. It is the first time antimatter particles have been moved this way, opening possibilities for precision measurements and antimatter experiments at facilities beyond CERN.
