Students at Florida Tech are taking part in a simulated Mars mission, living and working as if they were astronauts on the Red Planet. As local coverage put it, they are reminded that 'you're on your own' during the exercise, cut off from normal support to mimic the isolation and self-reliance a real Mars crew would face.
