EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, who grew up in Soviet-occupied Estonia, has warned European leaders against giving Russia what it wants in negotiations over the war in Ukraine. Drawing on her personal experience of Soviet rule, she argued that conceding to Moscow would only invite further aggression.
