Air raid alerts were triggered across Ukraine as multiple jet-powered drones headed toward Kyiv and surrounding areas including Kaharlyk, Dymer, Nizhyn and Yurivka. Air defense units were active in several Kyiv districts, among them Zhulyany, Vynohradar, Priorka, Lukyanivka and Podil. The alerts followed a wave of overnight drone attacks that have become routine in the war, with residents urged to take shelter while defenses engaged incoming targets.

Air raid alerts have been issued across much of Ukraine as monitoring groups report a large wave of jet-powered attack drones. UAVs were detected heading towards the Kyiv region, including Makariv, Dymer, Hostomel and Nemishayev, as well as Chernihiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad and Odesa regions, with Slavutych and other Chernihiv towns also flagged. Air defence forces are responding as residents await updates on interceptions and any damage.

Ukraine's air defence monitoring reports an air threat in the Kyiv region on 8 October. A Russian Seeker reconnaissance UAV was detected in the Dymer sector, while a Russian rocket was tracked heading towards Lyubychiv. Air alert warnings were issued for residents as monitoring channels urged people in affected districts to take shelter and follow official updates.
