Ethiopia has publicly accused Egypt and Sudan of backing an alliance against Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, sharpening tensions between the three countries. The claim escalates an already strained dispute in the Nile region, where Ethiopia's Grand Renaissance Dam and Sudan's internal conflict have long fueled mistrust between Addis Ababa, Cairo and Khartoum.
