A former Bank of Sudan official has said that removing zeros from the Sudanese pound would simplify prices and make transactions easier for the public. The proposal, floated amid Sudan's ongoing economic crisis and steep inflation, is being discussed in Sudanese media as a possible way to restore usability of the local currency in daily commerce.
